BY CONTRAST THE SAN FRANCISCO Examiner BURIED DEEP WITHIN ITS PAGES A SHORT ARTICLE NOTING THAT DR. BOWMAN WAS IN FAVOR OF "LIBERALIZATION OF STATE AND FEDERAL SEX LAWS." A SINGLE REFERENCE WAS MADE BY THE EXAMINER TO THE DOCTOR'S VIEW THAT "IT IS WRONG TO PROSECUTE HOMOSEXUALS AS IF THEY WERE CRIMINALS."
